MILITARY & THE MPD

The Meridian Police Department is proud to employ U.S. military veterans, as well as Reservists and National Guardsmen.

RIDE WITH AN OFFICER

The MPD ride-along program is designed to give applicants a first-hand view of police work in Meridian, Idaho. Applicants currently in the hiring process are encouraged to participate in this program.

Applicants approved for ride-alongs will be paired with a patrol officer in a marked police vehicle and will spend the day observing as he or she responds to various calls for service.
