MPD RIDE-ALONG PROGRAM
The Meridian Police Department's ride-along program is designed to provide applicants with a first-hand view of police work in Meridian, Idaho. Applicants will be paired with a Patrol Officer in a marked police vehicle, and will spend the day observing as he or she responds to various calls for service. Applicants currently in the hiring process may be eligible and are encouraged to participate in this program.

Any applicant who desires to participate in the program must submit a completed Police Department Ride-Along Release Agreement form.

In-Person: Completed forms may be submitted in-person Monday-Friday, from 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (MST), at the Meridian Police Department, located at 1401 East Watertower Street Meridian, ID 83642.

All submitted forms will be reviewed, and applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted to schedule a ride-along.

During the ride-along, applicants are expected to dress professionally. No jeans, t-shirts, or open-toed shoes. Tattoos should be covered. Failure by applicants to dress appropriately or arrive on time for a scheduled ride-along may result in the ride-along being cancelled.
MPD TOUR
Applicants currently in the hiring process are eligible and are encouraged to participate in a tour of the Meridian Police Department. These tours provide applicants with the valuable opportunity to meet with a recruiter to gain insight and knowledge about the Meridian Police Department. Applicants will not only receive an in-person tour of department, but will be able to ask questions regarding employment and the hiring process.
